Tony has built his career on education, with a focus on leadership and change. He is drawn to both public service and private enterprise and sees Canada’s colleges as an intersection of these two worlds.
Throughout his tenure as President of Fleming College from 2004 to 2018, he worked to enhance the institution’s growth, strengthen its offerings and facilities, and improve the educational experiences of individual students, all while fostering partnerships with other organizations.
With a passion for tackling complex issues and a love for working on the ‘big picture’, Tony is dedicated to making a meaningful impact with Compass North Consulting.
Sonia leveraged her extensive background in private enterprise to excel as the Vice President of Human Resources, Strategic Planning, and Student Services at Fleming College. Her colleagues viewed her as a visionary leader who could seamlessly connect strategy and organizational development efforts to drive sustainable change. Known for her ambitious mindset and ability to foster deep engagement and participation in all initiatives, Sonia brings a unique skill set to Compass North Consulting that includes facilitation, design thinking, leadership development, and team-building.
During her tenure at Fleming College, Sonia developed a cutting-edge approach to human resources, crafted three highly-successful strategic plans, devised a compelling core promise to students, and implemented a system for promoting creative leadership through an applied learning model. Alongside Tony, Sonia is committed to uncovering key insights, forming effective strategies, recruiting top talent, fostering creative leadership, and tackling unique projects.
